Your body care routine

Your face shouldn’t be the only thing that you have a routine for.

You probably nurture your face with so many good products, but what about the rest of your body?

You should be treating your body with the same care and attention you give your face. With this comes challenges, but also benefits.

Yes, it is more surface area than the small area of your face. The good thing is that it’s as easy as a face routine…maybe EASIER! Our bodies tend to have tougher skin than our faces.

What does that mean?

It means that we can be a little less careful when it comes to exfoliating and can leave out things like a toner!

Essentially, everything else is the same!
Cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate!

You stick to these 3 steps your body will glow with fresh, smooth skin!

Cleanse

When washing your body you’ll want to get a body cleanser that is specific for your body. A face cleanser probably won’t be enough to wash away all that grime and dirt. Add some gentle cleanser to a washcloth or loofah to really scrub your skin and get the dirt off.

Don’t move on just yet!

Make sure you rinse off the best you can to avoid pesky residue.

Exfoliate

Now that you have the day's dirt washed away your next best friend is a good exfoliator. This one you may have to experiment with because skin types vary. Typically, your gonna want to pick something that is a little bit stronger than what you may use for your face. Like mentioned earlier, our skin can be a little bit tougher than our face. Don’t go too rough though.

A good tip is to wash normally, but give a little more attention to areas like elbows and knees where dead skin can pile up.

man shavingShave

This may not be a part of everyone's routine, but if it is, pay close attention.

When it comes to shaving it’s good to be careful or you may get itchy skin and a rash! To avoid this make sure you spend a little time in the shower first because it softens the skin. Once your skin is prepared for shaving, apply good shaving cream to the area. When you start shaving go with the grain carefully.

Hydrate

You’ll want to save this for the very end. After your skin goes through a thorough cleaning it may result in some irritation. Water and shaving can dry out your skin and cause it to itch.

Avoid the painful aftermath by moisturizing immediately after. Make sure your skin is still damp. Apply a smooth cream all over your body and let it soak in before getting dressed.

Cleanse, Exfoliate, Hydrate. Do this and you will be on your way to smoother, healthier skin.
